This unique chapter provides a comprehensive perspective on paleofloods, historical and recent floods in Switzerland, and provides an outlook into what climate models are suggesting could be possible changes in floods in the future. The work collects research by 26 experts who contributed to explain processes, discuss methods, and present analysis results of a rich body of research in Switzerland.
