Changes in extreme rainfall intensity in convective rain cells with air temperature over the eastern Mediterranean Sea
Heavy rains from convection clouds are the most important source of precipitation in the eastern Mediterranean region. Nadav Peleg and his colleagues examined a 25 year long record from an Israeli weather radar.

Nadav Peleg and colleagues examined a 25 year long record from an Israeli weather radar system to show that extreme rainfall intensity in convective rain cells increases with air temperature while the total amount of rain may stay the same.
