Back from the summer school on Catchment Transport Processes
The ETH-EPFL Summer School on Catchment Transport Processes took place in Einsiedeln (CH) in July 2017. The School has been organized by PhD students from ETH (Federica Remondi and Martina Botter for the Hydrology group) and EPFL and it has been attended by 30 students coming from 12 different universities based in 6 countries.
Eleven invited speakers from all over Europe gave lectures on relevant topics in Fluvial Geomorphology covering a wide range of aspects, from sediment transport to vegetation and human impacts, combining field, modelling and laboratory expertise.
The School has been a great opportunity to create a network between young researchers working on similar topics. A blog has been created (external page https://flugeo.blogspot.ch/), which welcomes contributions from people interested in fluvial-related research.
